This sculpture was commissioned in 2003 and installed in 2004 by Gaylord Hotels as a sculptural interpretation of the spirit of Texas for the Gaylord Texan property in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Approaching  the property, down a winding drive, this sculpture, Racing the Wind, greets guest and visitors as they arrive at this flagship resort. It is the largest piece I have done to date at 18 feet long 12 feet high and 10 feet wide. The composition is made up of a stud, two mares, and a colt.
